Wood Koi Fish Platter
Wooden Fish Platter
This is a laser-cut Wooden Fish platter that is turned on a wood lathe. The process is to turn a square block on a wood lathe. Notice the sloping edges on the underside of the bowl. The piece is then laser etched with the image and hand-painted. There is a small recess hole in the center that can hold a piece of fine jewelry or a ring on a desk or a nightstand. This is a great centerpiece or display piece.
Inspired from historic Japanese drawings I have duplicated the vintage image onto the wood. The size is approximately 7 inches by 7 inches by 2 inches high. The finish is food safe. There are other interesting laser items in my store. Many are vintage images from the US Patent office including patents of an early typewriter and machinery gears. There are also classic American Documents like The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution.
This will make a great gift item for a Fifth Wedding Anniversary which happens to be wood. Also, for your friend who likes Goldfish. f you like this Wooden platter take a look at other laser etched pieces. Freedom Of the Press.
There are additional items in my Etsy Shop.
I design all the items on this website in my studio in Montvale, NJ USA. When you purchase from AATurning I guarantee that you will receive an original Alan Adler product. I do not sell any third party items.
Care for your Wooden Fish Platter
- Keep out of direct sunlight
- Minimize exposure to wide swings in humidity levels
- Do not wash with water, if necessary use only a damp cloth
- Wax lightly with a quality food safe wax or oil and buff to restore the luster. I like beeswax, walnut oil or mineral oil.
