Silver and Wood Jewelry Box

The Banksia Seed Pod is unique to Australia. When the flower goes to seed it forms an enormous Pod that is great for making unique items.

Silver and Wood Banksia Ring Box

Handmade Silver and Wood Banksia Ring Box made from a vintage silverplate napkin ring holder.  The napkin ring hallmark is Leonard, Hong Kong.  My idea is to combine different materials to achieve a unique result.  Combining vintage products with Woodturning is a concept that I have previously explored with porcelain.  Here is the link Antique Lids Find New Bases

This box features decorative plywood-veneer trim for the base and lid.  The overall size is 2 inch diameter x 2 1/4 inches high.  Inside dimensions are 1 3/4 inch diameter by 1 inches deep.  This extremely unique product resulting from contrasting materials of silver and wood.

Perfect small box to keep jewelry safe next to the kitchen sink or on a nightstand.  Never have to search for your rings and earrings again.  Just use this box and your problems are solved.  This box can also serve as a Pill Box or Memory Box.

Great gift for a special friend, Teacher Gift, Birthday Gift, Anniversary Gift.

I design and produce all items on this website in my studio in Montvale, NJ USA. When you purchase from AATurning I guarantee that you will receive an original Alan Adler piece.

Care for your Jewelry Box

Should the silver plate tarnish, use a jewelry cleaner paste to bring back the full luster.

Minimize exposure to wide swings in humidity levels

Do not wash with water, if necessary use only a damp cloth

To care for the wood base and lid, Wax lightly with a quality paste wax or oil and buff.  I like beeswax, walnut oil or mineral oil.

Jewelry not included but is available in my store.
