Oak Bowl with a Colored Pencil Rim
This is a food-safe Oak bowl with a colored pencil rim set in resin. The color pencils add so much to the character and truly make this a one of the kind piece. I made this bowl on a wood lathe and finished over several days at the studio bench. I cut a recess into the top edge and then glue in place individual pencils.  Then the inlay is flooded with resin to bring out the character of the bow.  The size is 6 1/2 inch diameter by 2 1/2 inches tall. The bowl interior diameter is 5 1/2 inches.
This will make a great display piece or an extraordinary gift for that special friend.

Care Instructions for your oak bowl
Keep out of direct sunlight
Minimize exposure to wide swings in humidity levels.
Do not wash in water, if necessary use only a damp cloth
Wax lightly with a quality food safe wax or oil and buff to restore luster.  I like beeswax, walnut oil and mini real oil.
Follow these instructions and you will enjoy this oak bowl with a colored pencil rim for years to come.
