It does not get better than this. This is a georgous example of Ambrosia Maple on this oversized platter.  The grain markings are spectacular.  There is a handling rim around the entire top edge.  This design feature adds character to the form and makes it easy to lift the platter.  The size is 16 1/2 inch diameter by 3 1/2 inches high. This Ambrosia piece displays the markings made by the Ambrosia beetle.  He is one heck of an artist, but unfortunately kills the tree.  
This will definitely be a conversation piece and will make a unique centerpiece in your home.

Care for the Ambrosia Maple Platter
Keep out of direct sunlight
Minimize exposure to wide swings in humidity levels
Do not wash with water, if necessary use only a damp cloth
Wax lightly with a quality food save wax or oil and buff to restore the luster.  I like beeswax, walnut oil or mineral oil.
