This Sand Dollar Wood Sculpture features turning, carving and bleaching.  After turning the form on the Lathe it takes several days at the workbench to complete an item like this.  The size is approximately a  8 inch diameter by 3 1/4 inches high.  This makes a one of a kind unique display piece for your art collection. No one will know it is wood and not a real sand dollars when you show it to them.  That is my objective. My signature is on the bottom.
The inspiration for this piece comes from Mother Nature.  We all search for beach treasures when on vacation hoping to find that special seashell that is washed up onshore. Care for Sand Dollar Wood Sculpture
There is nothing that you need to do to care for this sculpture. You are not going to wash it in water and you are certainly not going to wax it.  Just try not to drop it.
