Handmade Banksia Jewelry Box
Handmade Banksia Jewelry Box made from the Banksia Seed that is unique to Australia.  When the flower goes to seed it forms an enormous Seed Pod that is approximately the size of a large cucumber and  similar in shape to a giant American pine cone. The oval shapes are where the seeds come out of the Pod and I filled with pearlescent resin for the unusual effect. These giant Pods are great for making unique items.  This box features exotic purple heart wood trim for the vessel and the oak burl for the lid.  Inside dimensions are 1 1/2 inch diameter by 2 1/4 inches deep.  Overall size is 2 inch diameter x 4 inches high.

Minimize exposure to wide swings in humidity levels
Do not wash with water, if necessary use only a damp cloth
Wax lightly with a quality food safe wax or oil and buff to restore the luster.  I like beeswax, walnut oil or mineral oil.
