Colored Pencil Wall Sculpture
Framed Colored Pencil Wall Sculpture is 6 x 6 x 1  1/2 inches overall with a color pencil portrait that is 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 x 3/8 in a shadow box frame made from exotic woods.   Complete with hanging wire.  Unique color pencil insert is cast from a block of color pencils. I then cut it the block, sand it and coat it with a dome of clear resin.  A one of a kind piece that exhibits wonderful colors from the points of the pencils on the top surface.  My signature is on the rear of the piece.
Great conversation piece as few people will identify the dots as color pencils. Ask an adult what they see and they will not be able to tell you.  When you say ” Colored Pencils” they will respond “Wow.”  Ask a child and they will say “Colored Pencils.”  When do we as adults lose this spontaneity?
Since I produce many items with colored pencils I thought it would be interesting to look up the history of this art media.  There is no mention of color pencils for anything other than for writing and drawing.  Maybe someone will add the use for jewelry making on Wikipedia and so that your piece will become more valuable and I will be able to increase my prices.
