Airbrushed Colored Pencil Vase
Truly one of a kind handmade airbrushed colored pencil vase. This stunning Butternut Wood Vase has a row of colored pencils around the top rim. The pencils are sealed in food-safe clear epoxy and add so much character to truly make this a one of a kind piece.  Symbols are added with Pyrography which is a branding technique mage with a red hot wire.  Starting at the base are symbols for water, then birds for life and stars for the galaxy.  Then the vase is airbrushed to add depth with color dyes.
I turned this piece on a wood lathe and finished over many days on the studio bench. The size is 6-inch diameter 5 1/2 inches high.  My artist’s signature, Alan Adler is on the base.

Care for your Colored Pencil Vase
Keep out of direct sunlight
Minimize exposure to wide swings in humidity levels
Do not wash with water, if necessary use only a damp cloth
Wax lightly with a quality food safe wax or oil and buff to restore the luster.  I like beeswax, walnut oil or mineral oil.
